ALAYNA PICTURA

So, since I have been putting the blog title on all of my pictures, I figured I should probably explain to you why & what it means!

If you have been following my awkward blog since I've started, you should know that I love photography.

Since around 2010, I have been taking pictures of everything & everyone. Let me tell you, it's been pretty fun (& pretty awkward at times.)

Recently, I have been taking pictures of a lot of people & my whole entire family (which is a large number) has been telling me I need a "business" name. Now I don't know about you, but I feel like the word "Photography" is overly used & frankly has a bad rep in this social media Instagram world.

So when my family said they wanted me to use "Alayna Shock Photography," I was like HAIL no. Not in those words... But I mean close.  

My brilliant & loving & tender dad (love you dad) decided to look up the Latin root word of Picture... & I BET YOU KNOW WHAT IT IS!

I knew I wanted it right away because getting to the root of something sounds awesome. &... getting to the root of photography while capturing peoples lives is something I dream to do. So I figured it was a good match. 

 I know that I am only 18 & I could totally change my mind later in life... but right now, I love it. 

So thats why it's on my pictures. That's all.
